The Didier Rault Foundation believes that a prosperous society is the result of healthy, active citizens and a healthy environment. We support groups and organizations that promote environmental awareness and encourage citizens� active participation in creating such an environment. We understand that �development� and �environmental health� are not mutually exclusive concepts.
Development is a multi-faceted concept. It involves growth and advancement, progress and success. The means of achieving development are also numerous and varied. From education to loans to Internet access, development in the 21st century is all about creating opportunity.
Each year millions of people die from preventable and treatable diseases. Most of these unfortunate victims are children. While some research is done to prevent or to find a cure for the world’s biggest diseases, such as tuberculosis and malaria, resources are scarce. The bottom line is that more could be done to save the victims of these diseases.
